3 hours into the ride

We're three hours into the ride and we can already see the field stretched along the Port Underwood Road. (Live data here)

Just before the start Simon called and said the temperature was 30 degrees - so it will be stinking hot out there.

He also said he'd recieved donations of $1200 for the Kiwi Recovery Programme.
